Hind Sight is a women-led group creating a safe, welcoming space for women at any stage of their journey to learn about deer and their management. Whether you’re surrounded by fields or high rise buildings, if you’ve got a curiosity about the natural world, you belong here.
Built on shared knowledge and encouragement, we bring together women from all walks of life; complete beginners, seasoned professionals, and everyone in between. It’s a place to ask questions, try new things, and feel supported while you do.
We believe deer management training and events should build confidence, open doors, and allow you to find your people. Hind Sight is here to build community, challenge tired conventions, make the industry feel more approachable, and help women step into spaces where they haven’t always felt welcome.
Through learning, kindness, and honest conversation, we’re growing our community of like-minded women who lift each other up, share experiences, and celebrate progress, big or small. Together, we’re working to break down barriers and shape a future that feels more inclusive, more accessible, and a lot more connected.

Megan
FOUNDER/DIRECTOR
Visionary and progressive. Meg founded Hind Sight in 2019, after realising the need to build something meaningful for women in industry. She brings a blend of big-picture thinking and hands-on experience in the Deer industry to drive Hind Sight forward. Between Hind Sight and her day job, Meg’s full time job is raising her two kids.Follow Meg @Wayfaring_hind

Cathy
DIRECTOR
Focused, approachable, and driven by our environment. Dr Cathy Mayne brings a wealth of ecological and conservation knowledge to the group. She is passionate about ensuring pathways exist for women in industry and works tirelessly as an ecologist. She lives in an off-grid cabin in the Highlands with her faithful canine companion, Dora.Follow Cathy @Highland_ecologist

Charlie
DIRECTOR
Creative and strategic in equal measure, Charlie brings fresh ideas to every campaign. After fighting her way into the industry and having extensive global hunting experience, she works as a skilled deer manager by trade and freelances as a media consultant and videographer. Abigail
DIRECTOR
Friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Abigail works as an engineer and brings an outsider perspective to the Hind Sight crew. She is keen to solve systemic problems for women in industry, and is passionate about increasing diversity in the sector by reaching people outside of the existing rural space.Follow Abigail @Whitetailabigail

Helen
DIRECTOR
Enthusiastic and auspicious as she is measured and safe. Helen cut her teeth in the army where she honed her shooting abilities. In civilian life, Helen is a passionate and dedicated educator, range coach and deer manager. She brings with her incredible experience and understanding to keep momentum and deliver results at pace.
